Since 1989, Dr. Mercurio has been providing his patients with beautiful dental implants. He specializes in New Teeth in One Day - replacing the previously lengthy procedure of dental implants.
Dedicating his education to dentistry, Dr. Richard Mercurio received his doctorate of dental surgery from Georgetown University. In 1989, he began a Maxi Course in Oral Implantology and fell in love with this speciality, even taking his ongoing education to Sweden for an Advanced Implant training course (surgical and prosthetic). Eventually finding his way to Monmouth, NJ.
Dr. Mercurio then focused his efforts on developing resources and training for the dental community providing a number of publications and lectures on his specialty. All the while, continuing to further his education at institutions such as New York University and The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry in New York.
In addition to his ongoing education, Dr. Mercurio has served as an Officer of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) over the past five years. He is an Honored Fellow of the AAID and had previously served as president of the organization. He is currently a Director for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Research Foundation in Chicago.
